At the beginning of September, after a week-long crash course in French, our ten juniors set off for Europe. Their trimester abroad includes time exploring France and praying at Our Lady of Fontgombault Abbey on retreat, praying for family and friends while walking the Camino de Santiago in Spain, and studying the architecture and history of Rome, Italy.
This immersion experience continues to expand their minds, increase their wonder, and help them grow in humility as they work to communicate in a foreign-tongue! The boys are reading great literature and history and completing on-the-ground scientific observation and mathematical calculations while visiting some of the most beautiful sites of Christendom. True to the poetic mode of education, we are committed to providing our students experiential knowledge both on the farm and in the centers of Christian civilization.
